True Blood Group began in early 2021 with a simple idea: create a place where people with Rh-negative blood could speak openly about their experiences, ask questions, exchange information, and explore a subject that has fascinated people for generations.

What started as a small Facebook group grew into a community of tens of thousands of members from different backgrounds and parts of the world. Some arrived because of their own blood type or family history. Others came looking for information about pregnancy, blood donation, transfusions, genetics, or medical discoveries. And many simply wanted to understand why Rh-negative blood has inspired so much scientific, historical, and cultural curiosity.

Over time, our conversations expanded far beyond blood typing alone. We discuss established science and new medical research alongside history, archaeology, ancient civilizations, genetics, royal bloodlines, human migration, and the legends and theories that have become associated with Rh-negative blood. We believe these subjects can be explored without pretending that every theory is established fact. Part of searching for answers is being willing to distinguish what we know, what evidence suggests, and what remains an open question.

But True Blood Group has also become something more important than a collection of interesting discussions. It has become a community of people.

Members share personal experiences, help one another find information, discuss developments affecting blood donors and patients, and spread urgent requests when a fellow human being is searching for compatible or rare blood. When someone needs help finding a donor, the ability of thousands of people to share that request can turn a community built around a rare characteristic into something capable of making a real difference.

That sense of connection inspired this website. Social media gave our community a place to begin, but we wanted somewhere permanent where research, articles, resources, history, community projects, and new discoveries could be brought together in one place.

It also inspired the creation of True Blood Group apparel and accessories. These products aren't meant to exist separately from the community. They give people a way to represent their blood type, their curiosity, their heritage and interests, or simply their connection to a community that has brought people together from around the world.

For us, True Blood Group is ultimately about knowledge, identity, community, discovery and continuing to ask questions wherever those questions may lead.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to build a respected and trusted community dedicated to understanding Rh-negative blood while creating meaningful connections among the people who share an interest in it.

At the foundation of that mission are honesty, integrity, and a strong commitment to truth. Trust is especially important when discussing subjects involving medicine, science, history, and human health. We want people to know when something is established fact, when evidence is still developing, and when we are exploring a theory, tradition, legend, or unanswered question.

We believe curiosity and accuracy can exist together.

Our goal is therefore not to eliminate the mysteries surrounding Rh-negative blood, but to investigate them responsibly. We want to explore its documented scientific history, follow new medical and genetic discoveries, examine its distribution among populations, preserve fascinating historical accounts, and give people room to investigate the theories that have surrounded it for generations.

We also want to help people develop a deeper connection with blood itself. Not only as a biological classification printed on a medical record, but as something that connects families, generations, donors, recipients, and complete strangers.

Blood donation is an important part of that responsibility. Rare blood can become critically important when a compatible recipient needs it, and our community provides an opportunity to raise awareness about shortages, encourage voluntary donation, share legitimate donor resources, and help spread the word when someone is searching for a rare match. We hope to continue developing ways for our community to make those connections easier.

Our research and articles follow the same philosophy. Some explore established history and science. Others examine emerging discoveries or unresolved questions. And some deliberately venture into ancient traditions, legends, unusual historical claims, and theories. We want readers to be able to explore all of them while understanding the difference between documented evidence and speculation.

The products we create are another extension of that mission. Clothing, wristbands, symbols, and accessories allow members to recognize one another, represent their blood type, start conversations, and carry a piece of the community into everyday life. As the project grows, we hope those products can also help support the research, educational resources, community initiatives, and infrastructure that allow True Blood Group to continue growing.

Ultimately, we want True Blood Group to become a name people associate with curiosity without deception, exploration without abandoning evidence, and a community willing to help its members and others when it matters.

We are here to learn from the past, follow the discoveries of the present, question what remains unknown, and build a community worthy of the trust people place in it.
